To All Cadets And Senior Members:

Gabreski Squadron is hosting a Bivouac on April 14th - 15th. at Cathedral Pines County Park.  There are requirements to be able to attend the overnight event. 

You must get these requirements done on your own:
General Emergency Services Specialty Qualification
1.   CAPT 116 
2.   CAP Test 117 part 1
3.   IS-100 "Introduction to the Incident Command System"
4.   IS-700 "National Incident Management System, An Introduction"

You also need to have the following trianing but this will be provided during the time indicated over the next month. 

These are the following training items: 
Familiarization and Preparatory Training:
This training includes the following tasks:
O-0001, O-0002, O-0003, O-0004, O-0101, O-0102, O-0103, O-0201, O-0601, O-0902, and 
P-0102

This training will be conducted on the following dates and is open to any active CAP member:
            March 20, 2012 (1900-2130) – Bellport Middle School
            March 24, 2012 (0900-1200) – LIG Headquarters
Depending on interest, we may provide lunch for students attending both the F&P training and the BCUT course for a nominal fee.

Also required to get the rating but not required to go on the overnight trip: 

Basic Communications User Training (BCUT):
A "BCUT" class will be offered on the following dates and times:

March 13, 2012 (1900-2130) – Bellport Middle School 
March 24, 2012 (1300-1600) – LIG Headquarters

First Aid is also a requirement for the rating: 

Basic First Aid:
This training will available at the Bellport Middle School on February 28th, 2012 from 1900-2130. The class will be taught by Colin Martin, who is a certified First Aid Instructor.

These are the fees required to get this ground team rating:
First Aid will be between  $10.00 - $15.00 
BCut will be between $5.00- $10.00 
The Familiarization And Preparatory Training will be free but if you take it a group on the Saturday there will be a fee for lunch.
The overnight Bivouac will be between $20.00 - $25.00 
If you can not attend for financial resons please talk to your squadron commander.

I will need all cadets to sign up online at capli.com and let us know what training session that you can go to. 
Also Gabreski Cadets you must respond to this email and let me know if you want to go or not. 

This will be open to all of LIG so please sign up as soon as you can.
