Dear Norman,

Once again, the Gabreski Squadron has outdone themselves in the area of community service and public affairs.

My personal congratulations to the unit and to 1Lt James A. Ridley, Sr., for their excellent and continuing Public Affairs Publications at the CAP National Level.

As an avid daily reader of the CAP National Website (a professional necessity) it is a pleasure to see New York Wing prominently displayed and present on an almost weekly basis due to the efforts of the Gabreski Squadron.

I know all members of Gabreski and Long Island Group will be observing a moment of silence at noon tomorrow (Dec. 1) in commemoration of CAP's Anniversary.

Please pass on my sentiments to the unit.

Sir,

I received a copy of your letter from Col. Greenberg and I was truly moved.  I feel very fortunate to command as fine a unit as the Col. Francis S. Gabreski Squadron.  We have an excellent group of Officers as well as a motivated group of Cadets and that is the simple formula for success.

I am also very fortunate to have a PAO like 1LT Jim Ridley.  He is an individual who gives a lot to CAP and supports our unit and also LI Group wholeheartedly.

It is very rewarding to be recognized by a fellow CAP Officer and we thank you for your kind words.

Please feel free to visit us anytime you are on Long Island, we would be honored.

Sincerely,
Louis Fenech, Maj, CAP
Squadron Commander
