LOCATION: Jones Beach Parking Lot 5
ARRIVAL TIME: Cadet Staff report at 1330 Saturday
All other Cadets report between 1330-1430
Senior Members report anytime after 1300
DEPARTURE  TIME: Sunday at 1400 - MAKE SURE RIDES ARE THERE BY 1400
COST: NONE
DOCUMENTS NEEDED: All participants MUST bring ID Cards & SQTRS (SEE CAPT. HILLARD)
All cadets under 18 MUST bring CAP form 17 (Click here for the form)
All Cadet Airmen should have passed General ES (116 Certificate)
OBJECTIVE: This bivouac is designed to advance all Cadets and Sr. Members to be Ground Team Members (or GTL) Qualified and to support the "Walk for the Cure"
MEALS: Saturday lunch will not be served.  Dinner will be served around 1900
Sunday Breakfast and Lunch Barbeque will be provided.
EQUIPMENT LIST:
Note: BE PREPARED FOR EVERY TYPE OF WEATHER - COLD / HEAT / RAIN / SUN / WIND, ETC
  • One sets BDUs pants and blouse, with all patches, and tapes sewn correctly
  • One extra pair of pants (doesn’t have to be BDU pants).
  • One squadron cover
  • One Squadron T-shirt
  • One pair well broken in boots.
  • Thermal Underwear
  • Traffic Vest - see S/M Woytowitz to get one.
  • 1 or 2 sets boot socks.
  • Web Gear, preferably full 24-hour Ground Team pack
  • Two canteens (or camelback) 
  • Flashlight with extra batteries and red lens, and first aid kit.
  • Sleeping bag w/ pillow.
  • Tent (cadets may be able to tent with other cadets, please make arrangements)
  • Personal hygiene items (tooth brush, deodorant, a change of underwear etc.)
  • Small Notebook with pens  (Mandatory)
  • Small amount of cash in case of emergency.
  • Bug Spray (DEET preferably).
  • Sunblock (SPF 15 and higher)
  • Snacks or MREs  for Saturday afternoon.
  • COMPASS  -  MANDATORY
  • NO sheath knives, folding knives are acceptable (no blades longer than 4 in.)
  • Rain Gear - Ponchos
  • Winter Gloves (waterproof)
  • Disposable cameras - optional  but recommended
